I copied the tour from someone a while ago, changed it slightly, and off I went today 🥾🥾
A great mix of everything 😃
Different streetscapes with nice or not-so-nice houses, streets with more or no traffic at all, many different forest and meadow paths, from wide to barely visible, from flat to very

For the 2nd time, we were able to participate in this beautiful festival. At the Hansefest in Doesburg, the entire inner city and its inhabitants participate, including costumes, outfits, musicians, charlatans, jesters, etc. It's really fun to follow and observe the hustle and bustle 🇳🇱👫

Actually, I wanted to do a quick lap before the rain, but it didn't work out, the rain was faster 🤷🏼♂️ 🚶🏼♂️➡️
What a small ermine moth manages, or rather the caterpillars, they cover a whole tree with fine threads, brilliant 🤗

Since the sun came out, I had to go out a bit too 🚶🏼♂️➡️
About 5 years ago, the Emscher still flowed through a narrow, straight bed in this area. Today, after enormous earthworks, it has become a beautiful, species-rich floodplain 🤗

That was a really nice pleasure tour 😃 in the Bergerbos near Afferden 🇳🇱
Lots of nature, beautiful paths, almost no asphalt, a viewing tower, cozy cafe, mossy forests, open terrain, that's how it should be 🤗
The weather also cooperated; cloudy, dry and slightly windy 👍👫

Before it's supposed to rain and storm in the afternoon, the dry morning was used for a cozy round 👫

Except for the rain, which should only start 2 hours later, it was a wonderful round tour to Langevatnet. A lake on a nameless high plateau 🤷🏼♂️
Brilliant narrow paths, pure nature, insane views of the Sognefjord and the mountains, steep sections, stony to muddy, ruins and lonely huts, many waterfalls

A bit too much wind to go out with the small boat 🎣
But dry 😃 so 🥾🥾 on and off into the mountain. From our landlord we learned that you can hike up to above the waterfall, to Dyttingevatnet (a small mountain lake).
First only over gravel to the 2 lonely huts and a ruin, from there on very narrow paths

Just sitting in the boat and trying to catch fish requires a lot of patience. I had to stretch my legs in between, right behind our cabin on the Sognefjord 🇳🇴 Short, but good with very beautiful views🚶🏼♂️➡️

Done exactly right, the weather was right, the tour was right 😃
Apart from a few drops of rain and a hailstorm, it was mostly dry with some sun in between.
Comfortable wide and narrow paths, hardly any ups and downs, water on both sides again and again, alternating forest, field and meadow, old and new

For the "month of May" it was a bit cool today. Good thing the tour went up and down well, that kept me warm enough🤗
Thanks to whoever published this route 👍
Great hike through a very beautiful area, with lots of variety, history of steel processing, museum railway, streams on mass, different paths

From Essen-Kettwig, my route led me downstream on the left bank to Mülheim. Since I changed the Ruhr side in Mülheim, my route also went upstream on the left bank back to Kettwig 😉 I started already shortly before 5 am, when it was still pleasantly cool, later it became quite sunny, warm and sweaty
