Auf der Flucht 🦟

Heute waren wir unterwegs auf einsamen Wegen zwischen Mauel und Oberweiler im Eifelkreis Bitburg -Pruem in Rheinland Pfalz.

Wald und Wiesen am Neidenbach
Wir starten am Ortsausgang von Malberg, Richtung der Straße, die zum kleinen Örtchen Mohrweiler führt. Die ersten 100 m verlaufen auf der Straße (so gut wie kein Verkehr). Kleine Runde am Heidemoor bei Weißenseifen
Das Heidemoor bei Weißenseifen liegt zwischen den Gemeinden Mürlenbach (Landkreis Vulkaneifel) und Hersdorf (Kreis Bitburg/Prüm).
Das Heidemoor ist ein nährstoffarmes Hochmoor und ein Naturdenkmal. Es entstand auf mineralarmen Buntsandstein mit eingelagerten Quarzitkieselbänken.
Brach gefallene Feuchtheiden und Birken- Bruchwaldbereiche umgeben den Hochmoorbereich.
