Caldicot Castle & WCP Loop from Caldicot
Beautiful castle, free entry. And lush castle grounds/country park. We even saw loads of super cute baby long tailed tits!!
Finishing the walk along the WCP was nice; better if the M4 wasn't directly next to it, but still nice & loads of Skylarks.

Quarry Woods & Hazlebury Manor Loop from Rudloe
Gorgeous walk! Fantastic variety of scenery/habitats/wildlife/views!
A wonderful natural burial woodland is near the start. It's a haven of peace and full of wildlife; I saw multiple Wren chicks, just fledged! And adult Wrens. I even saw a Nuthatch so close! A Red Kite made a rare appearance, very lucky…

Newport Wetland - Quick Trail
Thankfully, even though short on time, I got to see more of the area than before, when caught in a hailstorm!
Some stunning wildlife here, beautiful reedbeds & a lovely place to just be.

Frampton on Severn Estate & Village
Beautiful place! Greylag Geese goslings too! And some Barnacle Geese & one rogue Snow Goose who shouldn't even be here 😅! Foot pain level 1000, but nice to be out, no matter how far/not far I walk :)

Pilning Wetland & Coast Path

Taf Trail from Pant Station to Morlais Quarry
Beautiful location, cool birds 🐦 & horses. Lush views. And my apologies to Sarah, who was also affected by my rapidly deteriorating advanced tmt arthritis!! If it isn't one thing, it's another 🤷🏽♀️

Savernake Forest Old Oaks loop
Beautiful ancient woodland, with stunning ancient Oaks. This was actually over 9k, I paused it & forgot. I was, however, very distracted by all the cool birds!!
