I'm no longer using the category 'gravel riding' on Komoot as it messes up segment highlights. The gravel category seems pretty useless on Komoot in general, so all future rides will just be 'bike touring' - which sounds like a weird category for a three or four hour ride, but at least it picks up all the highlights.

Heads up: the crux section of Gird Lane (around 12.9km in this ride) is beyond the capabilities of most gravel bikes / gravel riders, myself included. I managed to ride all the way up to the left hand bend - then you're faced with several rocky steps (see photos), unrideable on ascent unless you're Danny

An epic ride, based on the classic Lord of the Loops, but turned up to 11. If I was going to do it again, I'd ditch Cave Dale (overrated lethal limestone, heresy!) and go down Dirtlow Rake instead.
