Today the temperatures were supposed to rise above 30 C again. I don't enjoy cycling in that heat anymore. I had already planned to take the train from Sargans, but then decided on a brisk ride without long breaks. I started my return journey in Feldkirch, 4 hours earlier than originally planned.

The hike in the Rhine Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Switzerland, was probably the highlight of the tour along the young Rhine. The gorge, deeply cut by the Vorderrhein, offers great panoramas continuously.

I'm riding the route along the young Rhine for the third time now. The bike days actually only serve for the journey to and from the hike day. If I travel to Switzerland just for the hike through the Rhine Gorge, I also need 3 days. The hike is too long to combine it with the journey on the same day

Today I had breakfast at the Cafe am Dom (lebenshilfe-landshut.de/cafe-am-dom-laden) in Landshut.
I set off from Munich at 19 C, it dropped to 17 C along the Isar, and only when passing Moosburg did I see 20 C. I reached Landshut at 08:30, still before 25 C. ....
