Pienza, the next pearl in Tuscany. What a "cutie". Super beautiful views into the Val d'Orcia are offered, as well as lovely little alleys. Piazza Pio II is the main square of the sweet old town. We liked Pienza a lot ❤️ The recording is not entirely correct, as the first part is missing.

San Quirico d'Orcia is truly a little gem in Tuscany (besides all the other gems 😜). Beautifully located in the magical Val d'Orcia, this little town convinces with absolute beauty 😍 Surprisingly few people on site really put the cherry on top for us. Simply delightful❤️

Montepulciano was our next destination. The town (or rather, the picturesque old town) is located, as is often the case in Tuscany, on a hill. The Piazza Grande (main square) is definitely pleasing. San Gimignano - For us, THE place in Tuscany. Our visit was a revisit after 2023. This time with overnight stays. The "Manhattan of the Middle Ages" (out of originally around 70 towers, a good dozen still stand) has completely captivated us. During the day, it's quite crowded with people, of course

I liked Lucca, although not as much as other Tuscan places. What I really liked was the city wall that you can walk around the city on. Beautifully laid out. Lucca is often raved about. I found other places much nicer (San Gimignano, Volterra, Montereggioni, for example). But it's all a matter of taste.

As our first destination in Italy, we chose Pistoia. A small town with some sights worth seeing in the old town. The highlight was the Cathedral Square and the old hospital from the 13th century, which was in operation until 2013.
