Zachary

Hi! I am an avid trail & ultramarathon runner, hiker, and explorer of the outdoors based in New England. My favorite place to spend time has always been the mountains, be that Acadia National Park in Maine, Mount Washington in New Hampshire, or the Colorado Front Range. The majesty of towering rocky peaks never fails to light a fire within me. I have been a Collection & Route Editor with Komoot since I joined the editorial team in 2023, and I love inspiring others to get outside. I engage in crazy ultradistance running projects (running across states, Route 66, etc.) that you can read about on my website.

You begin your final day on the Teton Crest Trail by passing Lake Solitude, one of the largest alpine lakes on the TCT, on your way up the Paintbrush Divide. If you are worried about making time, you can enjoy Lake Solitude from its eastern shore and save a mile (total) out-and-back along the water

Your first day on the Teton Crest Trail (TCT) takes you high into the valleys behind the Teton Range to alpine lakes and secluded peaks. Grand Teton National Park is world-famous for its diverse wildlife and dramatic, craggy peaks, but few visitors have the privilege of getting up close and personal with its secluded alpine wilderness. The Teton Crest Trail (TCT) takes you on a 3–6 day journey from Phillips Pass (or alternately from Teton

Your third day on the Teton Crest Trail takes you into Cascade Canyon, below the Grand Teton, and past ancient glaciers and alpine lakes. You begin the day with a steep but short climb up Hurricane Pass, which has 360-degree vistas of the alpine landscape. The views from here are quite dramatic, with

Your second day on the Teton Crest Trail takes you along Death Canyon Shelf and into the dramatic, walled valley that is Alaska Basin. You’ll pass the striking spire of Spearhead Peak as you make your way up the trail from Marion Lake, and the tiny detour to Pass Lake is well worth the view it affords
