Today was just lovely. We woke up to some sun and blue skies. We realized that the route we had taken the previous day that kept us on the main road was not the actual cycleway. We luckily made this discovery before we set out today, which meant that today was going to be a lot less straight and a lot

Beautiful ride today, straight into the wind mostly. The day started out incredible, getting to ride along the cliffs over looking the water. We stopped at a church and again at a shipwreck museum. There were major shipwrecks off the coast here and dredgers happened to find the entire rudder of one of

We woke up to mostly dried clothes but a lovely breakfast spread by our host family. The bnb was situated on a flat area of farm land and when you peek around the house you see their personal giant wind turbine that powers their property and probably pays them more than the threat of the farm. One turbine

Sorry I’m behind here! We rode north a little to a bunker that was built at the mouth of the fjords. This one tiny area over a tiny bridge is the gateway to all of the inner waters in northern Denmark. There were 5 German bunkers left with parts of their turret towers. It’s a unesco site now and there

Day 4
We finally had a day without rain! What an incredible ride today. We kept joking that it was a good thing we brought our own bread for bread crumbs because we were 100% in Hans Christian Anderson territory. Not literally, that is more south, but it felt like it. Lots of forest rides and then breaking

Day 4. Well. There are some lessons you have to keep learning no matter how old you get. Last night we had ice cream, and I had a yummy chocolate ice cream. Mmm it was so good. Except it was full of caffeine and I barely slept. Womp womp.
Today was our first big ride day. We were headed out of Aarhus

Day 3!
We found an amazing coffee shop to start our day which is always nice and began our exploration day. We rode south of town on a lovely path that hugged the bay. We paused at an infinity bridge and took a few strolls around it. Then we headed back towards a museum (kinda in the middle of nowhere

Day 2
We began the day realizing that our tiny town lacked one major thing. Coffee. Okay okay, there was a highly rated Circle K, but we turned up our noses because we are proud card carrying members of coffee snobs anonymous. (at least Ryan and I are). Which meant that we did our entire bike ride today

Day 1
Well… here we go again!
After an amazing four days with Trina in Copenhagen, Ryan, Jason, and I have officially set off to explore Denmark. Woo hoo!
The first four days were spent exploring Copenhagen. Ryan and I have only been living here for a little over a month, so while we’ve seen some of the

Magical day! We explored Esbjerg (pronounced Es-bear) yesterday evening and decided to take the ferry over to one of the islands off the coast. Fanø! We caught the ferry with our bikes (sans packs). Fanø is possibly the cutest little towns in all of Denmark. In fact I think I read that they won an award
