The access road to Vilsalpsee is difficult and expensive, so we started our tour in Schmieden. Walking time from there to the Landsberger Hütte is 3 hours

Bettenberg-Giratsmoos
Bei dieser kleinen Wanderung durch und um das Naturschutzgebiet Bettenberg-Giratsmoos wollte ich sehen, welche Wege begehbar sind und welche Gipfel erreicht werden können. Leider ist es verboten, durch das ehemalige Militär-Übungsgelände zu den beiden Gipfeln zu gehen.

Beautiful and mostly well-signposted hiking trail, which mostly does not lead directly along the lake, but also leads past other beautiful spots, including through the recently reopened Marienschlucht.

The Vilsalpsee is definitely worth a visit. The circuit is possible again, but access is very restricted. The bus ride for the 3-4 km costs 4.70 Euros (pensioners 3.30). There are opportunities for learning and swimming.
