Exactly one week after a gout attack, the hiking boots can be put on again for a small loop through the Moerputten. Almost no more pain and enjoyed the lush swamp. Beautiful route planned from Heerewaarden to Neerijnen via Varik. Checked the catering and ferry yesterday, turns out the boat isn't sailing after all. Work is still being done on the dike there and the access road is closed off. Two cyclists had ignored the barrier and returned disappointed to report
