This walk passes through the grounds of Broome Park Hotel and country club. This is a grade 1 listed building which was built in 1630s. It was the home of Lord Kitchener of Khartoum until his death in 1916. Now a hotel and golf course.

Probably the best place to park would be the car park at rear of church as parking is limited. This is a beautiful walk with spectacular scenery. The highlight is the Coldum Long Barrow which is believed to be from 3950 bc

Started out by following the course of the Nailbourne which only flows occasionally and then part of Elham Valley Railway. Beautiful walk. Spectacular views.
