On the last day of our tour, we rode back to Ghent with a tailwind. First along the Leie river, then next to the railway line. A great cycle superhighway with many road cyclists. A beautiful end to the West Flanders tour.

Today we rode to Lille in strong headwinds. Once there, we waited 2 hours in a cafe for the rain to stop. Then it went great with a long stretch along the canal back to Belgium 🇧🇪.

Today we went with moderate headwind along the coastline to Dunkirk. The path across the border to France 🇫🇷 on a former railway line was wonderful. Afterwards, the ride took us through the fields to Poperinge without any major highlights.

The 2nd day of our round tour through Belgium took us with tailwind to the sea in Knokke. Then it went along the coast to the southwest. Today we went to Hanover. Lunch at Maschsee with the family. So I set off by bike in the best weather. The route is now very well passable. The most beautiful part is the first section to Hachmühlen and the last along the Ihme.

Beautiful afternoon walk on Whit Sunday!
After a steep ascent to the ridge path, we went through narrow forest trails to the Paschenburg and then to the Schaumburg. The way back led us along the edge of the forest with constantly great views into the Wesertal. ☀️😀☀️

What luck with the weather. After a cold, foggy, and wet week, we had great hiking weather today for our Brocken hike. Up via the Goetheweg and back via the Kaiserweg. In between, a break at the summit and a lonely hiking trail along the very young Ecker. Wonderful😀

Today we went to the beer garden at Jagdschloss. Nice ride on field and bike paths with very few cars. Very cozy beer garden. We would love to come back.

On the public holiday, straight onto the bike early. That's real luxury. In bright sunshine, we rode via Hämelschenburg and Lügde to the Schiedersee. Part of the return journey was on old, very well-maintained railway tracks via Blomberg and Aerzen back to Hameln. Now lunch can come.
