In the middle of the market square stands the monument to the city's most famous son. The Handel statue is a central meeting point and exudes a lot of history 🎶🏛️. Surrounded by the market church and the historic ensemble of the city, a short stop here is worthwhile – perfect for a photo 📸 and a moment of Halle's musical and urban history.

The Händel monument in Halle (Saale) is the only monument in Germany in honor of the German-British Baroque composer Georg Friedrich Händel. It was erected there in 1859 on the occasion of the commemorative events for the 100th anniversary of the artist's death, as a joint effort between Germans and Britons.
