The park is rich in history and unique features, including the ancient McArt's Fort, an archaeological site offering expansive vistas from its high vantage point. The area is also home to five caves, which give the park its name and are visible on the cliffs. This Green Flag Award-winning park provides a significant natural and historical backdrop to the city, making it a cherished local gem.

October 2, 2023,Cavehill in Belfast – Wandern in Nordirland ☘️
As befits a proper Northern Ireland trip, I start directly in Belfast with a different kind of city hike. A pretty green one - exactly how I imagined my start here. You might think that it wouldn't be particularly spectacular or idyllic directly above the capital, but that's not the case!

GPS signal was sometimes not so good. But we always stayed on the path.
Beautiful round. Steep climb but worth the view.
