The Chateau de Murol is an impressive castle built on a rocky outcrop overlooking the town of Murol in the département of Puy-de-Dôme in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes région, France. A stunning place to visit.

probably the most beautiful and impressive castle in the volcanic area of the Puy-de-Dôme. The core of the castle is adapted in shape to the basalt rock on which it is enthroned and seems to merge with it. The main bailey is surrounded by a large outer bailey.
