Hiking

A predecessor even gave it on the ground, on which the today's church stands. It was a chapel around the year 800, which was first mentioned. Hence the name Kapellendorf. This church was feudal property of the burgraves of Kirchberg (today at Jena). In 1235 a Cistercian monastery was founded in the village (Wikipedia).
