The 10,000 square meter floodplain was created as part of Buga 2021. The lake is fed from the narrow water dam in the Thuringian Forest. The pond is up to 2.50 meters deep, 69 meters at its widest point and a maximum of 180 meters long. The terrace of the new café on the lake offers a direct view of the water and the fountain. The up to 12 meter high water feature is controlled by a timer and illuminated in white in the dark.
